Building with AI.

Things I built by talking to AI.

I'm a product leader, not an engineer. Everything here I built by directing AI in plain English, most of it by voice, much of it from my phone.

Road to 2000

The problem
I want to reach 2000, then National Master. But I'm addicted to the next game, not the next lesson. Volume play gets you good enough to win, and winning is addictive; study has no immediate payoff, and sometimes you get beaten worse. Someone like me needs goals and momentum.
What I directed
A chess-improvement web app with a game log, rating and milestone tracking, automated engine analysis, and move-by-move review books as PDFs.
The result
Atomic Habits in action: I tied chess improvement to something I already love doing, building with AI. One feeds the other. Now I get to grow my AI skills and learn chess along the way.

"Wait, That's in the Bible?"

The problem
I want to teach Bible study as a weekly podcast. I study every day, but turning study into a lesson, and a lesson into an episode, takes time I don't have.
What I directed
A pipeline that turns a seminary paper into an episode in my cloned voice, packaged as reusable steps I can run from my phone.
The result
My seminary books, papers and study journals are at my fingertips. I speak to them as I study, and AI compiles my words into something that can be taught. My hope is that listeners come to know God in a more intimate and powerful way.

The Provost

The problem
I've written several cool books. The hard part has been getting the word out.
What I directed
A cinematic trailer for my Legends of Welkin series, built around its villain, the Provost, using my cloned voice in ElevenLabs.
The result
A dual benefit: an experiment in marketing the books, and a proof of concept that grows my AI skills. It sets a precedent: this is possible, and we can do more of these.

"Wait, That's in the Bible?" Reels

The problem
Create content once, use it in multiple places.
What I directed
Short Instagram Reels cut from the podcast and the Substack. The first, "The Battery Lives Inside Us," puts a podcast clip over an AI-animated gold ring construct on my own fist.
The result
Views once we pull the Instagram numbers.

First Light and Prayer Cards

The problem
The battle is for the mind, and it's easy to believe the enemy's lies. I prayed scriptures every day, but it was cumbersome. In the spirit of Cyndi Staudt's Unsheathed, I wanted to meditate on God's truth in a way that's actionable, easy and quick (2 Corinthians 10:5).
What I directed
I vibe-coded two flashcard apps by talking to AI: prayer cards I recite when I need them, and a drill that helps me memorize scripture.
The result
Becoming more proficient in speaking God's truth over my life, and eliminating the lies.

Bearded Honey

The problem
I had a bunch of songs that were never finished.
What I directed
Finished my unfinished originals with AI and released them as Bearded Honey and Omar K. Mills, including the album Underneath the Big Blue Sky.
The result
Finished and out now on Apple Music and YouTube. Next up: beardedhoney.ai.

The problem
Your words: why a résumé should read like a story.
What I directed
A living autobiography-résumé, built, rebranded and published by conversation, with an on-site voiceover reel.
The result
Your words.

The Running Man

The problem
I want to lose about 30 pounds, by getting back into running and changing my diet.
What I directed
Claude builds my workouts, guided right on my Apple Watch, and tracks every run. Running is the first step, no pun intended; nutrition tracking is next.
The result
Your words, like finishing sub-12 in the pouring rain.

My Substack

The problem
I want to establish myself as a leader in AI, and blogging is one of the best ways. Same issue as the podcast: how do I create posts quickly, and everything else, in one fell swoop?
What I directed
An interview method: AI interviews me and drafts in my own words, paragraph by paragraph, so I keep my voice. Then everything gets distributed in one click.
The result
Subscribers once we pull the numbers.

How I build

The method

Talk it out

I speak my thoughts into Granola, the AI meeting app. It lets me go longer than a chat window allows and hands Claude a clean transcript. On my phone, I just talk.

Interview, in my voice

Claude interviews me and drafts in my own words, so I steer instead of rewrite. This page was built exactly that way.

Create once, use everywhere

One session becomes a post, an episode, a Reel and a page, and anything I'll do twice becomes a reusable skill.
